I had synthesized gold nanoparticles in organic phase, while centrifugation the particles instead of settling down as pellet, they are sticking to the walls of microcentrifuge tubes.

.. Thank you for replying.I am synthesizing the particles in round bottom flask and they stick around the walls of the flask. Also, if I re-disperse them in the solvent and give washing by centrifugation, they doesn't come off from the microcentrifuge tubes.

..I have synthesized oleylamine capped gold nanoparticles in toluene and precipitated them methanol. Washed thrice and finally redispersed in toluene. For phase transfer to aqueous, I treated the particles with 11-MUA. After evaporating the solvent (Toluene), a black solid precipiates but it is not soluble in water.
