I found this eggs on citrus leaf in West Java, Indonesia. They have stunning painting and looks so artistic. Is there anyone knows, what kind of insect that have this eggs? Many thanks for your input on this.
Several Giant Water Bugs (Belostomatidae), Lethocerus medius, also giant prickly stick insect, spiny leaf insect ,Common Hyalophora cecropia, Giant Swallowtail, Papilionidae, Saturniidae, Sphingidae, have similar eggs, let as wait until hatch
I am afraid I do not agree with my colleagues. I believe they are eggs from a Phasmatodea insect (stick insect). Many birds eat them but do not digest them, and disperse them with the bird droppings.
