As this is molecular biology assignment, you should rather figure out the general concept yourself and ask only any remaining specific questions here. As a first step do a simple google search and start reading.
I agree with Dr. Sabine Strehl . I would never encourage spoon-feeding. Nevertheless, Rafif Ananda Putra since you have asked for help, I will help you, but next time come up with some interesting questions.
Tamoxifen is a hormonal therapy used to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. It belongs to a class of drugs called selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs). It can greatly reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and invasive cancer. Some people take tamoxifen to lower the risk of developing breast cancer. Tamoxifen is referred to as “chemoprevention.” Chemoprevention drugs aren't the same as chemotherapy drugs. The daily oral medication stops cancer cells from using estrogen and progesterone to grow and spread.
On the other hand, chemotherapy for breast cancer uses a combination of drugs to either destroy cancer cells or slow down the growth of cancer cells. It is sometimes called systemic therapy. Chemotherapy for breast cancer is used in addition to other treatments, such as surgery, radiation or hormone therapy in order destroy or shrink cancer cells. Usually, after surgery, the next step in managing early-stage breast cancer is to lower the risk of recurrence and to try to get rid of any remaining cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells are undetectable with current tests but are believed to be responsible for a cancer recurrence, as they can grow over time. Treatment given after surgery is called "adjuvant therapy." Adjuvant therapies may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and/or hormonal therapy.
A small piece of advice... Always keep reading. It will help you to increase your knowledge and excel in your field.
Hormonotherapy (tamoxifen) is given for breast cancer with positive hormonal receptor markers to progesterone or oestrogen. It can followed chemotherapy or replace it when a toxicity is awred especially in senior aged with cardiac comorbidities.
