Good question; Water extract are more suitable for making nanoparticles, because alcohal can denature the plant or microbial protein in the extract by altering hydrophobic interactions of the protein which are actually using to breakdown the salt mega-particle into nano.

Compared with alcohols, water is not that potent to recover a wide array of compounds, polar and non-polar ones. Do you have any idea that how we can enhance the rate of the recovery? Do you recommend alcohol-water solvents?

Some people are using it at 1:1 ratio and reported good results.
