It does depend on exactly the area of your research. Try and find a journal that publishes articles in your area. Then read their remit very carefully to work out whether your paper fits with their subject areas and, if you go ahead to submit, make sure you format your article as requested by the journal.
I would agree with Peter's recommendations. Try and find a reputable, well-established journal, not one of those which is always sending begging e-mails to try and get you to submit something. There is a list at http://www-jmg.ch.cam.ac.uk/data/c2k/cj/ which will give you some ideas. Look for a journal which specializes in analytical chemistry or methods.
