These terms are discussed under the concept of preventive mitigation measures with the idea to discourage end-of-pip treatment. There exist any such example where zero waste has been acheived?

If we work under the concept of ZERO WASTE, What percentage of waste is reduced?
Zero waste is a slogan, a virtual concept that can never fully materialize in any application or activity in practice. It's just a symbolic but unreal expression, created to promote the reduction of waste generation. Since it is a symbolic expression, the reduction can not be quantified in percentage. More accurate is the expression minimized waste or low waste.

There are many studies, projects and activities carried out under the "zero waste" concept, but this is a syntagm that indicates policies, efforts and results focused on minimizing waste volume as much as possible.
Zero waste is relative term as we say in percentile, here it will reverse. Minimum wastes will be considered as zero and compares others relatively so actually we are trying reduce waste as much as possible but absolute can not be there. Its a slogan to promote waste reduction as we say give your 100% which certainly will not be 100 but you will motivated to go maximum effort 95 or 98% which will ultimately rewarding.
Like six sigma concept in the field of quality engineering developed in the 1980s, Zero Waste could be a goal towards which one should march. It may not be achievable but should remain in the conscience of every person and industry

The issue is to work on dissipative multi-branch quasi-circular economy or industry (no way for simple circular economy and elementary recycling) and internal information of objects and products... wastes have to be ultimate and low information materials that we can bring back to environment under conditions of concentration and places.

Zero waste is a goal that addresses how human can change their lifestyle. Zero waste should start at the manufacturing process and file down. The goal of zero waste is to have all discarded materials become a resource for something else. We need to design our products with this in mind. We need to think about the consequences of our consumption, and we need to eliminate the toxic waste and conserve natural resources. We, as consumers, have created this soup of toxic waste, and now that the issue is in the forefront the question become is it a concept or is it theoretical? It's neither. Waste is real, and we need to think about how we are going to reduce the amount of waste generated each day.
Waste is a design flaw and until we recognize this will we always have waste. The question should not be; What is Zero waste...the question should be; What are you doing about your waste?

I agree that 0 percent of waste is a concept, because of an impossibility like 0 percent waste. In my opinion, the substance of 0 percent waste is that the waste content is safe in ecological aspects and derivative impacts
'Zero waste' , just like when we say 'zero accident/incident' is a goal/objective which is targeted towards ensuring environmental sustainability and resource management. The idea of 'zero waste' tends to drive every operational process to ensure that waste minimization is integrated in all processes.
For example, lets imagine a yarn production plant of which the raw materials are polymer raw materials with pigments etc.... at the end of the production process, you might have one or two off-spec products or split polymers. If we are to apply the concept 'zero waste', it simply means that those by-products or materials which would have been called 'waste' would serve a purpose of been raw materials for other processes.
In summary 'zero waste' is a concept that every organisation should use as it would ensure resource management and in most cases serve as opportunity for cost earnings for any organisation.

Furthermore, the questions are: "which waste is acceptable following the organization of the consuming systems"... and "what would be the succession of recycling processes that will drive a combination of degradation processes of intermediate wastes to ultimate wastes back to environnement/ecosystems" and "how to organize a multi-channel pseudo circular economy at the local and global scales to optimize recycling energy/chemicals input needed worldwide" ???. Nice discussion!! As I told its a slogan for reducing the waste at minimum level to the best zero (certainly not possible). Still if we able to minimize the wastage level of different sector specially industrial sector harming the environment it will be great achievement. No country wish to loose economic gain from polluting industries even you ban the export of the items and disparity in laws both at national and international level further aggravate the condition.

The "Zero Waste" concept focuses on restructuring production and distribution systems to reduce waste to minimum level. The design and process of a cleaner production system is based on this ideal concept. Production generating low waste or no waste will not have to bear the cost of recycle, reuse or disposal of waste

Zero waste aiming to clean technology is much desired but cost of production and competitive price is concern. Without incentives or state support on taxes very few industrial houses are interested for zero waste technology which require high investment and costly technology. When many industries are not willing to even install mandatory ETP than zero waste is unthinkable from them. Recycling for common man may be simple word but the cost of recycling and treatment of waste generated is very technical and costly. Still I hope world is moving for cleaner technology at some cost and we will have cheaper technology to reduce the waste management cost.
I think the concept of zero waste is not practical in one single industry. If we integrate the concept of industrial symbiosis in an industrial park or industrial estate, we may achieve objective(s) attached with the concept of zero waste.
Yes, you are right absolutely,it is actually the standardization of industry to calibrate the pollution creating processes for the sake of minimization of health hazards.
To me zero waste is the overall goal: no wasteful use of resources,closing of loops, waste becomes nutrients etc.Cleaner production is one of the approaches, or working methods to advance industry towards the goal: input/output, flowchart showing waste sources, a set of model strategies. The tools we can sharpen, simplify data collection, use Industry 4.0 tools, collect libraries of BAT, provide training. The goal has the character of a vision, showing the way beyond barriers, low resource prices, generally low awareness.
