Well, it is acceptable to all that a research paper should be peer-reviewed before publication. Even, the authors are not satisfied when a paper is published without peer review. So, the quality of peer review is a very important aspect that must be ensured by the peer reviewers. In my very short research experience of 15 years, I came across many peer review comments. Some of them were excellent which helped me a lot to learn new things and some were good by providing essential and specific comments for improvements. However, the majority of the review comments were unsatisfactory or you can say no comments at all. A researcher who waits for long through the peer review process after receiving such a comment is always discouraged to do further research. I believe that the peer review comments should be clear and in detail pointing out the grounds on which the decision has been reached. Many Editors of the journals just simply reject the manuscripts on the basis of 1 or 2 lines comments from the reviewers which I think is not justifiable. I invite the views of my peers, colleagues, friends, well-wishers on this very important question.
