Peter: The only way I am aware of to test for Sticky Platelets (SPS) is Light Transmission Aggregometry. There is no reported data on distinguishing between heritable and acquired causes of SPS. My suggestion here, which may not be practical, is to have a pre-event or baseline result on the patient.
