The use of interactive data visualization tools is becoming very popular to enable users explore the data from different points of view. These tools allow users to investigate data from different points of view, customizing filters, grouping data, finding main influencers etc. This interactivity is usual in business, by creating dashboards, or in statistical data analysis of large datasets.
However, when we observe how scientific data is presented to the community, they are usually restricted to the point of view of the authors. They don't allow data exploration by other users, who could find new insights from the data.
So, what do you think about it?
A step in the right direction. For example, NASA shared the images of Mars (india made rover landing site) enabling someone from India coming out with more information. So,I believe it is possible to extract more from given data (Beneficial to all).
This is a growing trend and since the rendering tools are getting easier to use (for authors and audience) soon it will be widely seen in main stream journals too.

Data Visualization has its origins way back when we have started using graphs or grids, the trend is present in today world, as to save time and desire to show the responses in quick finish with comparative and trends as main criteria.

Wederley Miranda, Vizhub is the proprietary visualization platform of the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) https://www.healthdata.org. The data visualizations and dashboard hosted in Vizhub are developed and maintained by the IHME visualization team, so I don't think that external researchers are able to publish dashboards on it.
If you are looking for a platform where you can publish interactive data visualizations/dashboards, I suggest using Tableau Public (https://public.tableau.com). Tableau Public is a freely available data visualization platform offered by Tableau (https://www.tableau.com)
