The Science is responsible for, political, economic, social and technological development of a nation. If everything is in a nation facing their education, sure, the science of this country will be better and therefore it will be better developed. The education of a country must have "practice", because there is no science without science is practiced. It is important the combination of historical themes and aspects of the lives of great scientists for students because it enables a broad discussion on the history of discoveries as well as the characteristic of life scientists, may arouse the student's curiosity and perhaps helping to train new scientists
I believe that history is a teacher, and the study of scientists' lives inspires the spirit of confidence and creativity in the minds of the students.
Science is often seen by people as a collection of subjects far from real life and more related to an abstract level of conceptualization. So, studying scientists' lifes and the way science concepts were developed in a real-life context can disseminate the idea that Science is a contruction of human mind, with all the problems and contraddictions that this implies. This can help to make Science more acceptable and understandable, even to people that are not familiar with it and its methods (i.e. the great majority of society...)
That is what is called MODEling in teaching,Teaching about great people inspire others to strive at making impacts to life and living.It is ok,not as history but as models in the art and principle of achieving great heights
Students can only understand how Science changes by looking at historical themes. Along with my collaborators I have explored this in several publications.
