The Journal of Mathematics and Statistics is registered in Scimago for Mathematics, and for Statistics and Probability, as Q4, SJR 2019 0.22 and H-Index 17. It used to be Q3 for Mathematics between 2011-2014.

However, some sites refer to Science Publications as a predator editorial. How can that be possible once there are many indexed Q1 Journals under this Editorial?
I wonder who would be interested in publishing in this Journal and try to improve its classification?

As you can see on the link you provided, this journal (https://thescipub.com/jmss) is discontinued in Scopus as of 2016. Do keep in mind that SCImago keep tracking a journal even after discontinuation for a few years, so being indexed in SCImago does not automatically mean a still active Scopus indexing.
Indeed, the publisher behind this journal “Science Publications” is mentioned in the Beall’s list: https://beallslist.net/ and is a notorious predatory publisher. In the latest Scopus list, there used to be 13 titles of this publisher “Science Publications” indexed. However, to date only four titles are still indexed all others are discontinued (see enclosed file).

So, not entirely sure what you mean with “once there are many indexed Q1 Journals under this Editorial” since this publisher don’t publish any Q1 journal. The only good thing I can say about the above journals is that when you look at the ‘Scopus content coverage’ (see for example here https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/5400152618) they do not accept and publish excessive amount of papers (which predatory publishers often do once they receive a Scopus indexing). Still, I think there are better choices than this publisher.

Congratulations on your excellent achievements and nice results of your work.
As for the Journal Symmetry the experience was very good, the referees didn't take long time to send their reports with very interesting suggestions. Thus we improved the paper accordingly and the updated version was accepted. We used the Publons to cover the publication expenses.
