In Venezuela one of the most ingrained traditions is the arepa at breakfast. It is a food based on corn flour, which can be added many things depending on the taste of the diner. The usual thing is to fill it with fresh white cheese.
I love the Southern Sotho custom where people wear a “thapo” when they mourn. This may be a piece of black cloth to a special mourning outfit that is worn every day in the mourning period.
