Is the mission to assure continuity of human achievement, or teaching young people a trade to make a living, or teaching young people to be individual and impendent thinkers? Am I right to think that universities’ mission are nurturing creativity, individuality and independent thinking; as a consequence they must prepare young people to realise their potential.  

In a changing world of globalization, with internet access, shifting workforces and expanding technology, how do we best prepare young people for the future? Complexity of challenges requiring expertise are rapidly expanding, but, the time available to educate is not. I believe universities are not a delivery system to fill a bucket with information, which can get stale before students start their professional life.
