Titanium alloys due to their high strength to weight ratio, high temperature corrosion resistance and other superior mechanical properties have been widely used in aerospace industries since 1960's. In NDT testing particularly ultra sonic testing (UT), the big challenge is to get information about internal flaws, voids, cavities and inclusions by UT of as-cast ingots owing to presence of big size grains which inevitably form in as-cast products. Such big grains offer tremendous acoustic impedance and gives enhance noise signal, thus pose serious troubles in ultrasonic testing in as-cast ingot. Researcher are requested to help in this regards detail procedure would highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
