What information do you have about the gross amount of phosphorus and the total amount of potassium as well as the total amount of nitrogen in the sandpit, top row and Barhan sand
@ Shokhrukh, to my experience, desert sand in India does not contain any N and P but you may find traces of K. It is mainly composed of quartz and a small amount of feldspar and muscovite.
What do you mean by "total gross" ? Do you mean something like "Kjeldahl exactable" or "plant-available" ? There may be significant quantities of these nutrients trapped in the mineral structure, but not available to biology in a relatively short time scale. So, it really depends on what purpose you have in mind for these nutrient levels, and what method you would use to extract them from the soil. The types of minerals present, and the amount of organic matter present, will matter a lot for the levels of nutrients active in the material.
