I've tried using the following primer to amplify recA gene from 2 bacteria.
41F (5’ TTCGGCAAGGGMTCGRTSATG 3’)
640R (5’ ACATSACRCCGATCTTCATGC 3’ )
But since one of the bacteria is actinobacteria, the primer used was not suitable. Is there any other primer sets available for recA gene amplification? Assist me on this please. Thank you in advance!
What you actually want to do? you look confused, as you are not describing if you want to insclude actinobacteria or exclude. By the way the primer you are using is housekeeping gene primers and are not species specific. If you want species specific primer, download the nucleotide sequence of your desired organism and design your own primers.

I've isolated to N2 fixing bacteria and there is a possibility for horizontal transfer of nifH gene in my previous study. In order to prove this, I have to study another housekeeping gene, so i chose recA gene. Have successfully amplified recA from one bacteria and was failed in another bacteria.
By the way, thanks for the suggestion of designing own primer. Will try this sir.
