What is the significance of using Correlation Technique in Image processing?
Employing correlation techniques in image processing has two major advantages i.e., correlation operation when applied to an image is shift-invariant as well as linear. Shift-invariant depicts that the operation is performed at every point in the image. Linearity means that every pixel is replaced with a linear combination of its neighbors.
