That requires huge works in large number of individuals in human subjects due to variations in hormonal profiles, hormonal response, and individual reproductive cycles (doi: 10.1007/s10815-007-9184-z).

Even experiments involving rodents, their uniform state among the animals used is an absolute prerequisite, not to mention natural synchronization of estrus cycles among the experimental animals before the administration.

Some may find histological differences or the others no differences. Need to look at more microscopic levels of cell proliferation biomarkers or protein synthesis.

I am guessing a dysfunction at the proliferative phase or early-secretory phase of the endometrium during COS or w/o COS would cause the receptivity to decrease in the mid-secretory phase? Would this be a safe assumption? I have researched and unfortunatley have not found a decent paper adressing this question.

I would say yes! As you know better than I am as a person of the field right now, PCOS is notoriously complex to tell the simple thickness of the endometrium. What I think is that the variations in individuals make PCOS more mysterious. Perhaps we need a good model animal in which chemical or genetic manipulations are more feasible to simplify solving problems from the molecular level to down physiological level.

Dear Sang,

I appreciate the help and advice however I believe there was a confusion caused by my behalf, as in my previous statement by COS I meant controlled ovarian stimulation not cystic ovary syndrome. I am currently not working with PCOS at the moment but for future reference I will be sure to read your reccommended reviews.

If you have any advice related to the endometrium during controlled ovarian stimulation during the proliferative phase specifically but generally the menstrual cycle I would appreciate it deeply.
