Hi,
I am trying to isolate marine bacteria from marine sediments.
Since zobell marine broth is not available, i have started with sea water agar.
In one of the sea water agar, glycerol have been used which is used for the isolation of flavobacterium.
So i want to know, what is the significance of glycerol in sea water agar.
