I have been trying to obtain copper nanoparticles in aqueous colloidal suspensions following procedures found in the literature, only I am using copper sulfate instead of copper chloride as Cu2+ source. DLS and UV-Vis results show no formation of copper colloids.

Is there evidence that the type of anion (acetate, nitrate, chloride, sulfate etc) plays a key role in that kind of synthesis? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Regards
