Even though these two notions are conceptually different from each other, these are get involved in urban sociology and also related to urban ecology. And the intersection of these two concepts (social psychology and social ecology), in today's modern society, the effects of the environmental impact of human behavior better understanding, there emerged as an extremely important phenomenon should be studied.

Would it not be that social psychology is a subset of social ecology very much in the same way culture is a part of our environment? I don't know how fruitful this reasoning is, but perhaps it is not completely off the mark. Psychology tends to describe and understand the "internal" individual processes that shape our interactions with other individuals. And these individuals are certainly an important part of our surroundings. A similar reasoning seems to be part of how evolutionarily minded scholars view the intersection of behavioral ecology and evolutionary psychology.
