Thanks so mush for the article it getting me close to understand, did 'the Zero potential Energy' and 'Zero charge Potential' carry the same meaning ?

Potential of Zero Charge: a characteristic value of the electrode potential for any metal at which a clean surface of the metal will not acquire an electrical charge when it comes intocontact with an electrolyte. The electrolyte, though, must not contain a surfactant.

Thank you sir, So that's mean we have to choose a Zero potential energy Like a reference and measured the other potentials according to it. But how could this be useful in corrosion study. Sorry for asking too much questions

potential of zero charge has relation with corrosion inhibition.
