Municipal Solid Waste Compost can be an alternative of traditionally used Farm Yard Manure when it comes to manure application to the field as it is far cheaper than FYM and also has the potential to curb the waste management problem. It's a difficult question , for the simple reason , compost is much varying in nutrient compositionnincluding their pH and EC .Such information is more indicative than suggestive...with regards to either soil type or crop..

In general, 10 ton per hectare can be recommended for farmers as municipal waste compost contain around1% N, .5 P and 1.5 K. however there is a chance of heavy metal toxicity in it, so it should be also kept in mind.
