Yes, water is used as a coller in chicken coop. The use of water as a refrigerant depends on the technology which can achieve the variation of T and P.

Let me explain some thing here.The work in the paper is really a great work. But the water is the working fluid to convey the heat energy from the solar collector. and also the water is the working fluid to convey the heat from the load to the evaporator of the chiller. The refrigerant here is Methanol and not the water.

The water is taking part in operating the solar driven adsorption chiller.
