Although it has been proved that the acidity of PEDOT:PSS makes the low band-gap perovskite unstable and many papers note that the energy band alignment of low band-gap perovskite and PEDOT:PSS is not ultimately suitable, still the vast majority of research reports using it as HTL. Is there any reason for this and why other HTLs such as PTAA are not used for Sn-based perovskite?

To answer your question,
Firstly, you are right that the acidity of PEDOT:PSS makes the low band-gap perovskite unstable. There are some solutions to solve this such as adding interlayer between these two materials layers to avoid a direct contact.
Secondly, PEDOT:PSS materials are very handy and easy to access in an academic laboratories. More importantly, the efficiency of Perovskite devices still need to be improved to satisfy the commercial markets.
There are many areas to be advanced in Perovskite electronic devices such as different device structures which are involved in materials development. PTAA is one of many materials applied in Perovskite electronic devices as HTL.
This is why you have read many published papers which PEDOT:PSS is still used as a HTL.
