I am a beginner studying MMP - 9.

Expression of MMP-9 increases after injury stimulation such as LPS.

Why does MMP-9 protein rise in as little as 6 hours?

Is MMP-9 regulated by immediate early genes and is it transcribed and translated promptly after injury stimulation?
