All of the CTX and P1NP assays performed on the Roche e411 require the patients to fast (10 hours) prior to blood collection. I have seen in recommendation pages that the meals can suppress the bone markers (http://www.racgp.org.au/afp/2013/may/bone-turnover-markers/) but I am unable to find an explanation as to how it masks them.
