How can I store insect gut homogenate without losing the viability of bacterial cells?

Hello everyone..

I'm looking for the best protocol to store insect gut homogenate for at least 2 weeks without losing the viability of its bacterial cells. Can I use DMSO or glycerol for this purpose? Could you share the protocol?
