Could be a peptidase is cleaving it. Have you done some controls that it is not some other protein your antibody is binding?

I am running Human embryonic kidney protein as control and the band is at correct size.

Double check your protein ladder, sometimes labs have more than one ladder in the freezer and they don't all have the same size range.
