I know about advantage of PER.C6 such as:

(1) Superior yield, (2) Adequate human post-translational modifications (PTMs), (3) High transfect ability, (4) High safety, (5) Simple and flexible culture condition.

But I don't know what is it's disadvantage and if PER.C6 is better than other host cells for protein production (such as CHO), Why does "per.c6" not replace CHO for protein production?

What is the "limitation" of use "per.c6" in protein production?
