My model is done using ABAQUS i`m modelling 3D RC beams shear strengthened with FRP. The figure attached shows a comparison between FE and experimental results which is the black dotted curve(RS1). I`m using bond slip model in the interaction between FRP and concrete.
If you have debonding sooner than expected in the interfaces, it can be due to the weak bond properties that you defined in your model (the bond-slip model). Having large mesh sizes can also lead to obtaining lower bond strengths and thus total capacity.
The question is not however very clear to me here. Can you present more details about your problem and the results? What does the blue line represent? Can you also present the contour of principal tensile strains (or plastic strains)?
the blue curve is the results from finite element model. i tried smaller mesh but n9 difference in results. Do you mean the contours strains in concrete ?
Yes. Is the failure occuring in the interface elements? of in the concrete?If is in the interface, then you need to double check your bond-slip law and interface element mesh size.
