I feel the absorption in the coating films in physical vapor deposition refers to various following factors 1) in proper maintenance of the coating chamber 2) variation in the temperature during the coating process 3) in proper cleaning of shields, substrates, coatings fixtures.
does any one help on this query

the different absorption can be due to different facts. A main goal could be different purity of the film. Furthermore, the film thickness could effect on the optical intensity due to interference effects if the filmthickness is comparable to the wavelength.

Let’s suppose similar elemental composition of the optical film with similar thickness. The optical properties of such coating may vary with number of defects such as dusty particles, or defects from inappropriate cleaning. The dusty particles, which can’t be fully mitigated, increases if the chamber is inappropriate maintained. The influence of temperature, you mention, differs for different materials. I would add one important point you didn't mention and it is the target condition, if you prepare your coatings from reactive sputtering.
