I don't know about the ketamine dose. But I used 1% pentobarbital sodium to anesthetize NOD/SCID/IL2Rγnull (NSG) diabetic mice and working very well.

I generally used 0.2 ml of 1% pentobarbital sodium solution for 26-28 gm mice.
