Dear Colleagues,

I want to calculate the electrode consumption in the electrochemical process using iridium oxide coated on to titanium plate (IrO2/Ti) anode using the Faraday's equation (I.t.M/nFV) where I is the applied current; t is the processing time, M is the molecular mass, n is the number of electrons being transferred in electrolysis; Faraday's constant; and V is the volume of the wastewater.

Thus, to use the above formula, What is the number of electrons being transferred in the electrolysis of the IrO2/Ti electrode?

second, is Iridium only contributing electron to the solution?

Thank you.
