I don't know what that means. Research Gate does not have an evaluation system. In the U.S., university professors have professional associations and standards that their institutions generally use. But the implementation can vary, along with fairness. What do you think its the best way to evaluate professors--what qualities would you measure, and how?
I did not mean that the scientific assessment or evaluation in universities just like the Research Gate, but I meant that the scientific assessment or evaluation in universities bears the same impartiality as the assessment of RG
I believe that every university has its own system of evaluating or assessing the performance of its lecturers / professors. Fairness of such system will motivate everyone to work well.
Your question is not clear to me. Are you referring to (1) Motivation of the professors through just and fair evaluation or (2) Effectiveness of performance evaluation of the university that motivates professors?
Every institution has its own criteria for performance evaluation. Performance evaluation is base on institutional goal. The mission vision and goal of universities and RG are not the same, therefore performance evaluation criteria also vary.
@Salam Jassim Hmood. If you are saying that the universities should address fairness in professors' evaluation and scientific promotion, this issue needs to review the policies and standards of human resource of the universities.
the fairness of evaluation when based on human i think is subjective, why not to use electronic system like RG to assess the staff performance according to their activities with preset criteria and every one should have to enter the activity and then counted to the level that will promote to the next step of academic status
Dear Salam ,,,,,,, Salam ,,,,,RG is a fair scoring system. i understood what you means by your question, and i do support your idea by using an electronic system that could be modified according to each university criteria.
