What is the most progressive tumor bearing mice model that was widely known, in which the tumorgensis is very quick? Or what is the most progressive tumor cell line?
It is tricky giving you a simple and direct answer because it really depends on the carcinoma like Ling Tian said.
Just make sure there aren't any problematic point mutations in the strain you selects.
We used to use immunocompromised SCID/nude mice to avoid wanted immune responses to our lentivirus/adenovirus injections. Several inflammation spots were confused to tumor formation regions.
However, for some long term genetic studies I used C57/Bl6 and 129Sv mice. For instance, one one my studies was related for kidney development. When I knocked-out one gene in the C57/Bl6 mice, the mice would have 2 or 1 kidneys. With the 129Sv none would form due to the gene knock-out.
do you want a murine or human tumor model? I am working for a CRO offering all types of tumor models. On our homepage you can find data sheets showing growth curves of the cell line and how they behave in our hands. You are welcome to use this as a source for your research. http://www.proqinase.com/content/view/32
