Dear all,

Acriflavine agglutination test is being used as a common biochemical test to differentiate smooth and rough strains of bacteria such as Brucella spp and Salmonella spp. What is the mode of action of this reaction? If anyone can give a biochemical explanation, it would be highly appreciated. What acriflavine dose in the reaction? With what cellular components does it react?

Thank you,

Amal.
