I am studying on topic, "Return migration of Rural youths for Agripreneurship Development" as my PhD work for this i have planned to study the impact of return migration on their household level.. but now the confusion is some youths came back just one year prior..so can we study the impact of such return migrants??? or i heard minimum 3 years is required to study the impact
Please help me in this regard
and if you have any material regarding impact study please share with me

It is desired to wait couple of years to see how the household is responding with return migrants. Effects can be changed during the course of time so considered for for short time period, say less than a year. However, impact is more persistent and may take more than two years.
If you wish to study only with the return migrants, then go for the sample migrants who returned more than two-three years ago. While if you compare with controlled group then you can see the effect, from the recently returned migrants.
