I have came across a paper where they constructed a transformant named A. vinelandii rsmA::Smr/Spr. May I know what is the meaning of "::" ?
I have seen it as way to describe genes in plasmid, e.g. plasmid pET with gene CKX in it would be pET::CKX. In this context I would expect that the Smr/Spr were genes introduced into A. vinelandii with knock-out of RsmA gene.
