I have a doubt on the pseudo gap of the material and its generalized definition.

I know that there is an existance of gap in the high Tc superconducting material even in the above Tc. But i want to kwon the reason why is it called pseudogap..... If there is a reason particularly to say that material has pseudo gap, then the other material (not a high Tc superconductor) is also said to be pesudogap material, if the same reason followed (is that reason is universal..?)....kindly give your comments on this.....

thanks....

with best regards.
