I am researching about AgNPs, one of the big problems that the agglomeration of AgNPs. But, I don't understand the real reason for this situation (such as mechanism, physical bond, chemical bond...).
agglomeration is lead to collect the nano particles in ordinary shapes mostly by physical bond that due to the nature of used solvent.. I think that will improve some properties of this material....
I agree that solvents are very important in the fabrication of AgNPs. As far as I know, can some surfactants minimize the agglomeration of AgNPs? Can you share a few things you know?
The weak bonding force Van der Waals is very important when the material is at nanoscale, I also think it is the main factor causing the flocculation of the nanoparticles, more specifically AgNPs.
