Man is perhaps the final product of evolution at least at this stage of 21st century? Millions of molecules to microbes to macro-organisms have been experimented in the trajectory of evolution, few have been exceptionally successful, many eliminated and many are in the pipe line. Diversity does not descent but decent has a probability to descent. Is man and his activities in all fields of human faculties are decent? Why then the crises of human survival and the Earth planet? Why science is unable to deliver the final product and same is the question for other faculties of human knowledge including philosophy in search of God?
I think that evolution happens in a purely random process, with the result is that the fittest survives. But I am a physicist, so I am not entering teleological arguments.
One of the objective of evolution is the decent through diversity. But that is not the ultimate objective. The main objective of evolution is the realization of the ultimate truth which is God. But the problem with acquisition of such knowledge or experience is that it cannot be communicated to others very easily. Its like a salt doll trying to measure the depth of the ocean. The moment it entered the ocean, it
dissolved. Now who is there to tell others how deep the ocean is?
Such experiences are experiences of inner life so they can only be vaguely explained to others. Describing the taste of sugar is one thing and actually experiencing the taste. altogather different thing. Once a very young girl asked her just married sister, "Tell me sister, what kind of joy you experience when you are with your husband?" The sister replied, "You grow up and get married yourself, then you will know everything about it."
Therefore science and other faculties of human knowledge may be continually delivering the final product to very select number of exceptional individuals and others may not even know about it. But there is no need to despair because they would know when they grow up. If not in this life, then probably in the next.
The cause, based on fractal patterns and nonlinear chaotic dynamics arises since there is evolutionary chaos and all diversity appeared as an emergent property of the system rather than one imposed on the system by external influences. This framework also arises a condition of independence from God, but it also enhances on the other hand the need about deciding if we were created, or not, since we are unique in the universe, each one of us. Within this condition of independence, freedom is granted then, in order to believe; something, that is the most personal and subjective matter.

Evolution has no objectives. Descent merely indicates a path from an ancestor. The path is a trunk that has no, few, or many branches depending on random mutations that happened to enhance survival. Random mutation gives a species a diversity at the level of individuals (a very short trunk). Natural selection upon individuals may result in speciation, a diversity at the level of species. The more branches, the more diversity of species. Diversity, whether of individuals within a species or of species, is just a type of descent.
