In our society, as we see different factors play a key rule while publish a paper? However, what is the key rule of favoritism/nepotism on this aspect? How we can minimize this specially from our education contents.
Publishing a paper in these days becomes a very easy job, since the number of publishers becomes a huge. Most of them there aims are commercial to collect the money by anyway. You can publish even a song in a journal as a scientific paper since there are no reviewers, it is just a server receves the paper and send the acceptance on the same day. The quality of the paper is controlled by the known reviewers comments and the scientific contribution on the paper. I think the (ISI) Impact factor of the Journal is the best measure so far for the repetition of this journal for the present time and the future. This is a personal opinion.

Publish your papers in reputable peer-reviewed or refereed journals. Most of those journals use double-blind peer review process and as such, there will be no favoritism.
The original question was "What is the impact of favoritism, on a research article?"
My answer is: It is there and, unfortunately, some reviewers do it on a large scale.
By the way, this also includes "high impact" journals and conferences.
Double-blind is not foolproof.
