Oxygen is essential in plant nutrient uptake and also enables respiration of ectomycorrhizal fungi which assist in nutrient uptake and eventually total biomass. Determining the maximum amount of oxygen saturation in contrast to the ideal water temperature for plant nutrient uptake we can conclude a "goldilocks" zone of optimal growth maximization.
