It takes a bit of soul-searching because, despite being a US citizen by birth, I often struggle to see good in Americans. I've also lived outside the US and traveled rather extensively so I wholeheartedly agree with your appreciation of other cultures.

Broadly speaking, I think America is still a land of opportunity for those who are willing to work hard. If only more people would do so.

Having lived most of my life away from where I was born, I have always appreciated the culture of my adopted country and of the countries I have visited often. I have learnt to understand and adapt and as Mr. Magnant says, hardwork has always helped me.

I personally think that an open and receptive mind plays an important part in understanding and appreciating other cultures.

1. Kindness: be sympathetic towards someone who has a misfortune and help him or her in some possible way.

2. Hospitability: be friendly to strangers, relatives and friends who come to one's home and treat them properly.

In Chihuahua Mexico we have an exceptional culture, are indigenous natives called Tarahumara or Raramuri, they live in the Sierra Madre Occidental known as Sierra Tarahumara, its worldview has to do with contemplation and have Dress, customs and beliefs that teach us to see the world from a perspective in total contact with nature. There is so much to say and learn about them.

Right now Venezuela is going through a serious economic, cultural and ethical values ​​crisis. What I admire most about our people is the ability to work and inventiveness. I can refer you to two specific areas: the first one is the Venezuelan cinema with iconic works like the smoking fish, Oriana, Jericó, Reverón (1952), Araya (1959). These last two made by Margot Benacerraf at a time when moving to the eastern town of Araya was very difficult, there was nothing to make movies and it was done. Just a camera, a cameraman and the director and managed to run one of the 5 best movies of all time in Latin America, even received awards at Cannes and was part of the official section of that year. The second area is research. Especially in Biomedicine the contributions of Jacinto Convit, Julio Urbina, Juan Luis Concepción, Ernesto Bonilla, Ernesto Medina, Bernardo Rodríguez-Iturbe, Leonor Chacín-Bonilla, and others are undeniable. Such a legacy is such that the new generations are facing the difficult task of continuing with this legacy. These two aspects call the attention of us Venezuelans. Greetings.

Its fun reading about other cultures apart from that of Ghana. Before I tell you what is the greatest of my culture, some simple facts runs through the answers. Indigenous cultures have some similarities, which include being kind and hospitable to nature and Strangers. Most Hybrid cultures seems to have lost this trait. In Ghana most cultures have similar trait of being kind and hospitable towards strangers and nature too.

One of the unique cultures in my country of Japan is tea ceremony. Kakuzo Okakura wrote in his small classic book, "The Book of Tea" as follows:

"It is in the Japanese tea ceremony that we see the culmination of tea-ideals. [...] Tea with us became more than an idealisation of the form of drinking; it is a religion of the art of life. The beverage grew to be an excuse for the worship of purity and refinement, a sacred function at which the host and guest joined to produce for that occasion the utmost beatitude of the mundane. The tea-room was an oasis in the dreary waste of existence where weary travellers could meet to drink from the common spring of art-appreciation. The ceremony was an improvised drama whose plot was woven about the tea, the flowers, and the paintings. Not a colour to disturb the tone of the room, not a sound to mar the rhythm of things, not a gesture to obtrude on the harmony, not a word to break the
