Can anyone please let me know the frequency range of epilepsy seizure activities from Scalp EEG analysis? I have found a range from the literature which is 0.5 Hz to 29 Hz. Is this applicable to all types of epilepsy seizures? Would appreciate if someone answers this confusion. Thank you in advance.

The frequency range between 0.5 and 29 Hz should cover most seizure activity. The HFOs mentioned by Darren are not of importance to you since they are not recorded in scalp EEG because of the volume conduction properties of the skull.

neurologists have diagnosed epileptic seizures by studying EEG clinical recordings, i.e. EEG Within 40 Hz band. I don't think that a wider frequency band will greatly improve the quality of the epilepsy diagnosis. Rather, the number and the quality of seizures in Holter EEG recordings will improve it..
If you want to detect epileptic seizures as in your question, a traditional Berger Band (0.5 to 30/40 Hz) will be enough.... However, other oscillations could have clinical/scientific importance in both direction of the spectrum... In addition of the HFO described by Darren, we also have the Slow Oscillations, Ultra-Slow Oscillations, DC and others.... But each of this oscillations, including the ones inside the Berger band, has its clinical correlates, so the most important think is know what you are looking for.
