If the diameter is increased/decreased with temperature, what will be the possible reason?
Hydrothermal method means you are telling about the Aqueous Chemical Growth introduced by Vassyieries et al? If yes i dont think the temperature matters as the reaction takes place in a very low temperature less than 100 degrees

In Hydrothermal method, there is a many parameters effect on the synthesis, temperature, pressure, concentration, reaction time, and pH meter. If you need to know what is the effect of Hydrothermal growth temperature you must know well about other parameters.
If you are looking for a simple answer, then increasing the temperature should accelerate the growth process and possibly increase the diameter.
Actually I have seen an increment in the nano rod diameter when temperature increased form 100 to 130C in my experiments. but still I cant get the possible physics behind this process.
