Personality is the characteristics of a person the way he/she thinks, feels, and behaves. the relatively stable and predictable part of a person's thought and behavior; it includes conscious attitudes, values, and styles as well as unconscious conflicts and defense mechanisms. For example, The well-adjusted person is realistic and able to face facts whether they are pleasant or unpleasant, and deals with them instead of merely worrying about them or denying them. Well-adjusted mature persons are independent. They form reasoned opinions and then act on them. They seek a reasonable amount of information and advice before making a decision, and once the decision is made, they are willing to face the consequences of it. They do not try to force others to make decisions for them. An ability to love others is typical of the well-adjusted individual. In addition, the mature well adjusted person is also able to enjoy receiving love and affection and can accept a reasonable dependence on others.
Most of the young indian research scholars has this characteristic in the beginning of research career. But later the dual personality of senior researchers in India damage the young minds and make the slaves according to their need. These slaves started to follow the dual personalities for their needs fame and publications and then become the same in whole life period.
The dual personality result from unresolved conflicts, often dating back to the young stage. To alleviate the anxiety and depression that accompany these conflicts, the ego uses defense mechanisms. Although defense mechanisms are not pathological in themselves, they become maladaptive in individuals with dual personality.
Here we mailed to one senior scientist in India for the science awareness program and his activities are matching to the dual personality. He is not responding to anybody's mails from our institute but he could able to answer all questions asked by many in facebook. This is called one dual personality found in many scientists in India. Dear Dr. Kumar,
you are bringing up a very crucial and important issue, the arrogance and ignorance of senior scientists. In Europe and North America it is impossible even to discuss this matter. You mention the change from the open young scientist to an arrogant and entirely biased subject.
Due to our comparing research - we conducted a Global Index Benchmark - (Link attached) we contacted the senior scientists releasing these indices and send them our findings. Most of them refused to answer or answered without a header and with two lines only. Two Elsevier Journals refused to publish our findings, one with an editor at the same university that does one of the indices.
Professors only answer to other professors. They live and act peer to peer. So once you are not a professor from a recommended university in UK or US you will never get an answer.
E.g. we tried to reach Richard Layard from the London LSE. We phoned his office manager who told us to write via mail what we did four times. Zero answer. Layard is a co-author of the World Happiness Report 2015 that shows a high correlation with our Global Index Benchmark. The WHR is entirely redundant and unilateral biased.
I don't relate this behaviour to dual personality. The scientific career is happening entirely in between closed circles. In no phase of the career the public or colleagues from outside the circles do have any importance to accelerate this career. So why considering it?
That may explain why e.g. Social Sciences have such less importance in international governance. In my new book "Revaluating the World" I show how even the recommendations of three Nobel laureates, Amartya Sen, Elinor Ostrom and Joseph Stiglitz, were thrown in the waste bag of UN, EU and governments.
We don't live in a knowledge society in science but in a monarchy. And so behave scientists, as royals and their flunkeys. There is zero fairness and respect among scientists. E.g., whenever governments tell us to contact other scientists, they refuse our research and speak bad on it. So once a government tells you that the recognition of your work depends on the peer review of scientific colleagues you can forget it.
So what we did was to creating our own scientific institution that allows us to conduct independent research.
Yes, most scientists may having an antisocial personality disorder. Many forms of science are pathological when you have the ideal of a "matured personality" without fear and Ressentiment. They are driven by the fear not be heard, honoured and respected, wherefore they suffer on endless references and justifications.
By counter many (as well senior by the way) scientists here on researchgate conduct a great collaboration and are open-minded. Maybe because the exchange here has no impact on their career. Researchgate allows a rational exchange that is not driven by the rules of scientific monarchy.
By counter we tried to contact Researchgate itself which is entirely impossible. They are paid by Bill Gates who uses our input and refuses to give any names or contacts.
I wouldn't exclude that there is a big cheat behind. Researchgate is operating in the dark such as Facebook and Google do.
Maybe it's an experiment on what scientist would do if they are allowed to.
