I'm not familiar to ARP 4754A area. However, it's better answering when the question seems to be more principal or fundamental. Two ports are separated if there is no physical possiblity to get them connected and behave related. But the may be only isolated by mens of canceling or compensating contributions from each of the ports. Balance bringing effects of compensation can be disturbed and lost. Therefore, the term "isolation" means less than "separation". Subjects separated are more independent than isolated. Naturally much depends on what are the subjects. Wojciech
