A primer is a short strand of RNA or DNA (generally about 18-22 bases) that serves as a starting point for DNA synthesis and Small interfering RNA (siRNA), sometimes known as short interfering RNA or silencing RNA, is a class of double-stranded RNA molecules, 20-25 base pairs in length, similar to miRNA, and operates within the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway.  If both of them have similar sequence so I want to know the difference between primer synthesis and siRNA synthesis.

Thanks
